Trust Your Float-ability

We all need to trust our ability to stay afloat when the waters get rough and 2020 has definitely put us to the test. But your higher self, your soul, knows just what to do if you will tap in and start listening. These are challenging times both professionally and personally, especially since these two worlds have in some instances, collided. Many of us are juggling making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the littles and showing up presentable on a Zoom call!

Knowing who we truly are is key. It might take some self digging, but once we discover who we really are, it starts to feel like magic, because who we truly are is always good. It's your inner light, your inner power and it allows you to take on anything that life might throw your way. Respecting yourself is at the core of getting through rough times, it's taking off all the masks and being respectful and authentic to who you truly are - at work, at play and especially with yourself. This is the starting point for every good thing you hope to achieve. You cannot know compassion for life without first knowing compassion for yourself. You cannot know respect and caring until you respect and care for yourself. And finally, you can't trust others if you don't trust yourself.

You cannot solve everything, nor do you have to.

Putting your trust in others to figure things out on their own builds their confidence and strength. They have float-ability too! Right now you are juggling many roles. Being the "fixer" to all your friends’, co-workers and family's problems shouldn't be one of them. Yes, you are a bright, mitigating light–– but you are also a divine energy source that requires protection and self care. It is not your job to be responsible for other people’s emotions or problems. It is your job to be a source of love in ways that allow you to honor your true self at the same time. Finding others the help they need, instead of being the help, can be the greatest help of all. Be what you can for those you love, without forgetting yourself.

Don’t make life harder than it has to be.

The human brain can be a wonderful, inventive and creative tool. It can also be detrimentally worrisome and anxiety ridden. One of the most important things that you can do in the "new normal", is to simply adjust your awareness and strive for a positive perception. Live your life with the knowledge that struggles come to everyone but that when they do, your light is stronger than the struggle. You have the ability to float in rough waters until they calm enough to swim again. You have been wonderfully created with the biology to be prepared, patient, and have a proactive heart. Trust in your ability to stay afloat despite rough waters. Your higher self knows how to handle times like this. It was created to do so. Take time to listen without fixing. Find recalibration time for yourself to detox from other's emotions. Reach out and ask for support, let your heart speak about your struggles and be proud of all you've achieved so far. Find time to PLAY! Hiking, hobbies, dancing silly in the kitchen, all help to break the emotional funk and sinking feeling we can get in. Finally and most importantly, stay in the moment, it will most certainly get better. You will make it. You are capable of getting through tough times, because well... your still here!
