We have help if we choose to see it.

Have you every wondered about angels, guides or ministering spirits helping us from the other side? I've had so many experiences that I don't know what my life would be like without them. Sometimes when I have told people about my experiences, they ask, why don't I have this, the answer is simple. You are not looking closely enough.

There is no such thing as a coincidence. Each of us has a divine purpose here on this planet and each of us has divine help. Whether you know it or not, you are an infinite being capable of awesomeness. All of the tools, skills, and gifts, are already inside you to help you on this journey we call life. Our job is to access and use those gifts to serve others and become all we can be while here on this sojourn. AND the coolest thing of all - we are not alone in our quests! We have help if we choose to accept and see the unseen.

So here's the deal, regardless of where you stand on the God issue, understanding that there is a power higher then yourself is what will allow you to see the help and miracles waiting to happen for you. Call it whatever is most comfortable for you - God, The Man Upstairs, Goddess, The Universe, Source Energy, Higher Power, Spirit, The Force, it doesn't really matter. I choose to call it God and Spirit, but whatever you choose to label it as, it's important that you start developing a relationship and awareness of it. It surrounds you, it's within you, it's everywhere you look and if you give it a chance, it will give you everything you need to succeed in life.

All of us, regardless of our age, skin color, gender, nationality or race are connected to this abundant, infinite power and frankly, most of us are not tapping into even a fraction of it. When I am connected to my higher self and that self is connected to God - substitute your word - the more at ease I am because I recognize that the universe has my back. I can relax into this journey with grace and ease. It certainly doesn't mean life will always be easy, but it always means there will be ease around the corner.

One of my favorite authors, Wayne Dyer, put it this way, "You belong. The active side of infinity inspires not only a strong sense of belonging, but a strong feeling of connectedness to everyone and everything in the cosmos. It's impossible for you not to belong, because your presence here is evidence that a divine universal Source intended you to be here." So if you belong here, and you do, there is definitely an abundance of help to assist you. You simply have to start looking for it.

Take time to be with yourself. Meditate, pray, breathe, listen. Listen for that still small voice in your head or that feeling in your gut, that's your intuition talking, that's spirit guiding you and it's your light radiating on the paths you should take. Believe that you belong. Believe that you are not left alone to figure this out on your own. You are light. You have help. You live in a loving, abundant, infinite, kind Universe with the Highest Power in all the universes cheering on your success. Look for and notice the little things and soon the big things will be abundantly clear.

Personally, I love that we have help because it creates conditions where we, of necessity, are more dependent upon Spirit to guide us through the various circumstances of life. It allows us to receive personal direction meant just for us!

So what can you do to enhance your capacity to be led by Spirit in your life? What are the things that allow you to receive the guidance and what can get in the way? I am convinced that there is no magic formula that allows you to immediately master the ability to be guided by Spirit. It takes time and practice. I believe this is how it is meant to be, if it were easy we would become weak and too dependent. Spirit knows that essential personal growth will come as you learn to understand and be led by your intuition and guides sent to help you.

Your confidence will grow as you act on the impressions and promptings that you receive. The first thing is to recognize that you have received a thought, a feeling or feel inspired to do something. The second is the power or capacity to act on it and do it. When these two things come together, it just works. It comes with grace and ease. You're in the flow!

Now I would like to share a personal powerful experience that has changed my life. 14 years ago, I bought a journel. I thought it might be good to start writing about my life, that perhaps it would be therapeutic to reflect and write about some of the traumatic experience of my childhood. During that time, I started writing questions and a powerful thing happened..... I started receiving personal impressions, not my own thoughts, but from a higher source. I started writing the words down. I was given precious truths about my life and why some of those things were allowed to take place. The details were so personal they seemed sacred to me. It was specific direction, instructions and hope filled promises that have forever changed my life.

Since that time, I have used writing as a means of receiving specific, strong impressions on the direction I should take my life. I often ask, "Is there more I should know?" and many times I am given additional direction. I ask that question until the impressions and words stop filling my head. If we will slow down a minute, we can get the guidance we need.

Sometimes the help can come as a result of urgent need or prayer and sometimes it comes unsolicited when needed. You must make it a practice to be more perceptive to the feelings that come with guidance from Spirit. Then when that guidance comes, sometimes when you least expect it, you will recognize it more easily.

One word of caution. The inspiration or guidance can be completely overcome or masked by strong emotions, such as hate, anger, passion, fear or anxiety and pride. When these emotions are present, it's like trying to taste the flavor of a grape while eating a jalapeno pepper! Both flavors are present, but one is more overpowering then the other. In like manner, strong emotions overcome the delicate promptings of Spirit.

Have patience as you are perfecting your ability to be led by Spirit. If you are sensitive to the feelings that come, you will gain guidance and help from messengers, loved ones and guides on the other side sent to help you along your path. Sometimes the impressions are just general feelings. Sometimes the direction comes so clearly and so unmistakably that it can be written down and reflected on later. As I have looked over the last 14 years of my writings, it is clear that I have been guided, directed and blessed all along the way.

Start looking at the "coincidences", not as coincidences at all, but rather help and assistance from a Divine Source. I know that infinite help is available to us if we choose to see it.
